There comes a time in every bloggers life when thinking of new topics becomes a difficult task; I suffer from it a lot. I know in my mind that there are a lot of things I could write about but actually plucking them out of my  head isn’t always easy.  In times like these I always end up resorting back to my list of blog-topic-finding-wesites, and so I figured why not share that list with my readers.
Yahoo Answers
I really like this site, because it always gives me insight into what consumers are thinking about. Â Sometimes the obvious questions escape us because we’re trying to think of some great earth-shattering post to write. If people are looking for the basics, you need to give it to them.
Anyway, back to Yahoo! Answers – the site is chock full of great questions that all kinds of people are asking about any topic you can think of. You can search through the list of questions and find tons of blogging ideas.
Google Trends
http://www.google.com/trends/explore
Google Trends is pretty cool, too. It shows you what people are searching for (or <>not searching for) during any specific period of time. Even cooler, it gives you a list of related searches. Put in a term you’d like to blog about, see their list of related searches and see which are trending upward.
UberSuggest
This great little tool is kind of similar to the Related Searches from Google Trends, but it gives you a listing of keywords based on the seed keyword you give it. For example, if I put in the term ‘waterbeds’, it gives me keyword ideas back like ‘waterbed heater’ and ‘waterbed burper’. Now I can write articles around keeping my bed warm in winter, or ways to get bubbles out of my waterbed.
