Is Your Current Website a Good SEO Candidate?

Before we even get down the SEO road, we need to figure out if your current website is worth investing in.  If you fail this test, you’re going to need to invest in a website that’s search engine friendly, easy to update, and is backed by a reputable hosting company.

The Step by Step DIY SEO Approach

Here are the steps to getting started with SEO:

  1. Normally I’d recommend an SEO audit first, but if you’re here you already realize that your website needs help.
  2. Do some keyword research.  Build a nice list and then get your targets in place.
  3. Selling locally? Make sure you claim your Google listing and other local listings as well.
  4. Set up your Google analytics.  Start learning about your current website visitors.
