Hey Will,
I agree with one of the statements you made --- Saint Louis needs this. I have been going to meet-ups, yellow tie events and otherwise networking to find out what my market wants. I am a new face here in the STL online marketing community but not new to online marketing.

I would love to help out with this event in any way that I can. Please email me if I can be of service to you.

Hi,

I enjoy reading your blog daily, great info for all businesses.

I would say a restaurant is great for BNI meetings or other events, but for a true business seminar, I would go with the standard meeting rooms like a motel or convention center or even at your local score or sba office if they have room. Seems like you have contacts with them already, you might have a foot in the door already. :)

I agree, I would call it a workshop as that sounds more like a real value rather than someone trying to sell you something. Just my 2 cents.

Best regards,
John Davin

Yeah Will, show them a picture, I wouldn't throw overboard on my boat. Sorry Will....

I wanted to make the seminar, event, workshop and had a major scheduling problem. My annual vaction to Table Rock Lake. I am very sorry my vacation got in the way. I will do my very best to make the event when you reschedule. Your Extremely Happy SEO Customer at www.STLBeds.com

Umm... I think to qualify one of your above statements we need to see a pic of your wife! ;)

All kidding aside, I was one of those closely watching - and we all wanted you to succeed beyond your expectations... As you know Brian, Carolyn, and I have been working w/ an event coordinator trying to get our own show off the ground. There really is a LOT more than one would think is involved... if you want to pull it off!

Looking forward to your first successful show bro!

I agree with 1,2 and 3. I think the deeper your speakers the wider audience you'll appeal to.
Of course I agree with the location of the venue:>)
When the association of Realtors puts on a seminar they have fewer attendees than if it's called a workshop.
If you could get your cost to below $100 you'd fill it up, I think. Big difference going from free to $249 vs free to $100.
A 3 hour workshop mid week is a huge commitment, could you break it into 3-1 hour workshops? If workshop 1 is beneficial I'm sure most would sign up for #2 and #3. Just a few thoughts.
